Plein Air Competition is back!

The 4th Annual Plein Air Competition is on September 21!

This even is proudly sponsored by Allen A Shaffer Insurance and Susquehanna River Valley Visitors Bureau.

Artists of all ages, skill levels, and experience are invited to set up and capture a beautiful setting of Selinsgrove using whatever medium they prefer. Artists will have two hours to paint “in the open air” for a chance to win one of the cash prizes. In order to be judged, artists must have their canvases stamped.

On Saturday, September 21, 2024, join us for Canvas the Grove, the 4th Annual Plein Air Competition, sponsored by Allen A. Shaffer Insurance and the Susquehanna River Valley Visitors Bureau. Artists of all ages, skill levels, and experience are invited to set-up and capture a beautiful setting of Selinsgrove using whatever medium they prefer, be it oils, watercolor, pastels, pencils or other. Artists will have two hours to paint “in the open air” for a chance to win one of the cash prizes.

In order to be judged, artists must have their canvas stamped. Stamping begins at 8:30am and can be certified at All Saints Episcopal Church, 129 N. Market Street, Selinsgrove, PA and judging will take place in “The Gallery Lot” (Next to Selinsgrove Inn) at 204 N. Market Street, Selinsgrove, PA.

Schedule:
8:30am: Stamp at All Saints Episcopal Church
9am–11am: Artists paint
11am–11:15am: Artists return paintings for judging
11:15am–11:30am: Complimentary lunch
12pm: Judging begins in “The Gallery Lot” at the Selinsgrove Inn
