Selinsgrove Area Chamber of Commerce to host Holiday Events

The Selinsgrove Area Chamber of Commerce will host a series of holiday events throughout Downtown Selinsgrove during the months of November and December.

Saturday, November 16th marks the beginning of the Selinsgrove Holiday Passport, an event dedicated to bringing awareness to the shops, services and restaurants located throughout Selinsgrove.

On Tuesday, November 26th , residents are invited to the Selinsgrove Commons at 6:30 p.m. for the annual Tree Lighting Ceremony, indicating the beginning of the holiday season.

Friday, December 6th, the Gingerbread House Decorating Contest will be held for the public in the Selinsgrove Commons. Completed entries can be entered into the competition beginning at 5 p.m.

Additionally, Festive Family Friday will be held the same evening. Participants are invited to shop at local Selinsgrove businesses and vendors, while the kids can participate in holiday activities. A Nativity Scene will be displayed in the FNB Bank parking lot for the public to view.

The Kid’s Stocking Stuffer will be held Saturday, December 7th beginning at 10 a.m. Children will be invited to decorate a stocking at The Creative Space and take it to participating merchants for stuffing. Stockings can be purchased for $5 at Graci’s Flowers, The Creative Space or the Rudy Gelnett Memorial Library from November 16 th through December 7th.

Also being held on December 7th is the Santa Pet Parade. Participants are invited to dress their pet in holiday attire and march down Market Street with their companions.

Late Night Selinsgrove will take place on Tuesday, December 10th at 6 p.m. Select businesses and vendors will be open until 10 p.m. for shoppers to visit.
